Dear Supporter,

I would like to say thank you very much for all of the support I received in the election campaign and I am really delighted and honoured to have been re-elected to the Seanad on the Dublin University panel.

The election count concluded on Thursday evening 28th April. I was the second candidate to be elected, having received 2982 first preferences, and was elected on the 10th count having reached the quota of 3890 votes. David Norris was elected first on the evening of Wed 27th April, having received 5623 first preferences; he exceeded the quota on the first count. Sean Barrett was elected as the third Trinity Senator having received 1051 first preferences after a close contest late on 28th April.

I am really looking forward to representing DU graduates for what could be the last Seanad - thank you so much once again for your support!
